Our case is on AP under section 221g. What does it mean?

When you are in Admistrative processing under section 221g, they are going to look further in to your case. Typically that means that they suspect that there maybe something that appears to be fraudulant, or a significant issue. Did you have an interview? The unfortunately thin is that you will not necessarily have a defined processing time. I would review the interview process to try and get a better understanding of why you got the 221g refusal worksheet. Did you call the consulate to try to get some answer. You may consider trying to call your congressman for help. If they are top notch they will place an congressional inquiry to try to find out why exactly.

Yea interview was on Jan 30. The interviewer said everything is ok and she only took the taxes and police certificates that is it. Just check the website in 2 weeks and she gave blue paper with 221g marked.

OK -expect AP on the casefile, post interview, because of his citizenship. It's standard, for males from IRAN.

As to 'how long it will last' - hard to determine - anywhere from 1 to 11 months.

Sorry for yer plight - there's a topic IN THIS FORUM about AP tracking, suggest you read it.

The interviewer said everything is OK. But is there any possibilities that they might check our documents besides the security check or it is only security check?

Unfortunately a few people from your hubbies part of the world, made it hard for many. And if his name is similar to anyones on a no-fly or CIA/FBI watch list, then he will be put through the ringer for background checks.

I am sorry, this probably isnt the news you want to hear. However, if he has nothing to hide, in a few extra months they will call him and ask for his passport so they can put a visa in it!

Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Invictus..

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

William Ernest Henley
