This is for real BS! Why would they tell you to save when you meet the requirements? :o

Which of the 3 Requirements did you met?

We are under 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. I'm still irritated they didn't give us the waiver :(

Do you have experience with the fee waiver?

From what I've been reading, it would appear that very few folks actually get interviewed for ROC - is that what you guys are seeing too? Is there any indication of how many people actually get interviewed? I wonder if it depends on your local office, the beneficiary's country, or simply individuals' situations and their evidence.

Anybody have particular insight into the rhyme or reason of ROC Interviews?

I did submit the Waiver too but still no answer at this time. We are also under 150% of the Federal Poverty Guideline. In the I-912 instruction it says that it will be normally approved. :(

Is there any indication of how many people actually get interviewed?

I've been flicking through the previous monthly filer's threads to try and work that out. Most of the tracking lists don't indicate whether people were interviewed or not but the June 2010 one does. Their figures are like this:

CSC: 29 of 31 approved, 2 interviewed (6.9%)
VSC: 23 of 28 approved, 1 interviewed (4.3%)
Total: 52 of 59 approved, 3 interviewed (5.8%)

It's obviously a very small sample but looking through the ROC timelines section seems to bear those figures out too. Of the most recently completed 150 ROC timelines, 6 had interview dates specified (4%) so it seems the likelihood of being interviewed, all other things (like amount of evidence) being equal is roughly 5% or 1 in 20.

(Still waiting for my NOA1 and for the check to go out, btw - they've had it in-hand since last Friday... There's three weeks left on my DL )

For those that applied for the fee waiver how much documentation did you send with it? If you sent enough evidence that you meet the requirements there should be no reason not to qualify. If the response was you had enough time to save I would call your local office and speak with someone.

I did submit the current tax return. That's what was requested from the I-912 instructions. Is that enough? What do you think? Dankeschoen :)

I think it would be good if you could send them all the ones you have.

What is your issue again?

I don't have any issue at this time. Still waiting for an answer from VSC.

The I-912 instruction form page 3 says "A. A copy of your most recent Federal tax return"
