It's coz they're working on my petition

in all seriousness though, I did see a couple of approvals recently. Also, if you had your initial visa procedure in the end of 2007 or 2008, like many probably had who are filing now, then you might see an increase in waiting time again as the same thing happened back then. There was a HUGE amount of petitions back then for them to work on, this due to increased fees and people who tried to avoid it, this resulted in a backlog and a longer period for those who filed in 2008 (such as me).

It's ok, as long as the wait is no longer than a year, I have no problems with it (well, it wouldn't be fun though but at least we have the extension letter... and oh well, if it is, I'll just go straight to citizenship lol).

no need to worry at all folks. While I-751 is pending, you're permanent residents. I know exactly how you're feeling at the moment, but trust me there's nothing new when receiving a 10-year greencard, you have access to the same rights and whatnot, and your present waiting time counts towards your N400 eligibility requirements :)

Worst case scenario; If it does take long, you can apply for N400, which will force pending I-751 to be adjudicated.

Chillax!

Wife's I-130:

02/12/2022 NVC documents submitted
