I got my I-551 Stamp on my passport today in a walkin infopass appointment today. Now, my question is as I've not received my green card until now - Is it SAFE that I travel with my I-551 stamp which is valid from today till July 2011? Will I face any problem in Pakistan or what??

If anyone of you who had an experience of going to Pakistan recently on I-551 stamp can tell me a little about it?? I've a travel plan for 10 days .... But I just want to make sure that the people at airports are well aware of this stamp and I'll have no problem in coming back ..... Plus how'll be the experience on USA port of entry with this stamp .... Any experiences ??

You can travel with the stamp and is valid for 1 year from date of endorsement. I've never traveled to Pakistan or know of anyone who did. But any where you're going you could face issues and that is usually due to the lack of knowledge regarding visa types.

When you're coming back you could be placed under secondary processing to confirm your identity. But that also depends on the processing experience of the Border Officer and his/her knowledge.

Pakistani Customs won't give a flying leap about your I-551 stamp. The only people it is relevant to are the CBP officers at your PoE on the way home, as it is the reason (and the only reason) they will let you back into the US.

An I-551 passport stamp is exactly legally equivalent in every way to a GC. Unless the CBP officer you get at PoE is badly inexperienced and undertrained, they will know this. You shouldn't expect any different treatment than any other GC holder arriving from Pakistan.
