Firstly you are not filing for a K-1 as per where you posted this topic, I will move this.

I- = Immigrations as in USCIS

DS- = Department of State as in NVC or the consulate.

You send only the I-130 to USCIS.

I would sugest reading the guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

Download the instructions for the I-130 forms and study them carefully. Also click on the word "Guides" at the top of any page here and study the applicable guide. You posted in the K1 fiance visa forum. After doing your homework, you'll want to ask remaining questions in the CR1/IR1 visa forum.

You'll be sending a lot more than just the I-130 form to USCIS but will not send the DS230 form until later. When you do send the DS230, it won't be to USCIS.

Which is why it's best for the petitioner to do their own homework carefully studying instructions followed by questions about things that they aren't certain they understand.

We all make mistakes, not matter how careful we are. I know somebody that filed just a petition and nothing else, no supporting documentation of any kind. When the RFE came there wasn't time to gather the documents and respond so nothing to do but start over, months after the initial filing. G325a, (singular) can be misleading. The G1145 is a great idea but certainly not required.

Take your time getting things in order. Nigeria is the hardest place to get a visa from and if you don't get it right and provide more than just what is asked for the first time you will end up being denied and having to pay and wait again.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
