Last time I posted here, I asked about sponsors and not meeting the income needed. But now I have two jobs one regular job and one part-time. I finally meet the income poverty guidelines.

My question is what documents will I need to gather to show I have the income? I've been working at my regular job for three months now. I haven't filed for the I-129F, do you think I can now start my petion.

Hope someone can help me.

Hi based on the time lines you prob wont need your I134 for another 4-6 months or so so that will give time to show you have the income!

You could have filed the petition a while ago.

Income and support are not required to be provided when you file a petition, this information is needed at the visa interview, 8-10 months from now.

Have you thought about the 6 month gap between I-129F filing and I-129F approval, and WHY the I-134 is NOT required on initial I-129F submittal ?

I think somethings a bit 'off' on yer calendar, but hei - file asap!

I-134 is evaluated on interview day, never on initial submittal.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I think it was smart on the OP's part to not file until already meeting the req's...saves him from a lot of undue pressure to scramble and get it with a ticking clock. Plus, he'll now have a few extra months of extra income...which can never be a bad thing, especially when he's soon going to be financially responsible for another person.

My question is what documents will I need to gather to show I have the income?

Looks like people answered you on filing but I didn't see an answer to this. Check the embassy website. For the Moscow embassy it says:

Financial documents from the petitioner – a US citizen: please note, that Affidavit of Support (form I-134) is not required, but may be requested. Please submit financial documents to show that the applicant will not become a public charge in the United States. Such documents may include, but are not limited to:

* Most recent year tax returns (form 1040) or tax transcripts from IRS

* Copy of bank account

* Earnings and leave statement

* W-2 forms

* Letter from employer

Take a look and see what the Manila embassy has to say or ask in the regional forums. At any rate, it's probably similar to what Moscow is asking for.

Ok I will start the I-129F filing. By the way since I've only been a year away from my fiance, I dont have proof such as plane tickets since I haven't visited yet. All I have is pictures for proof of relationship. Can anyone give me any other ideas to add to this?

Need submit evidence of having actually met in person, Copies of boarding passes, hotel receipts, restaurant receipts. Need evidence of dates and places. This evidence can be up to 2 years old.

Any evidence older that 2 years old can be added to show a long term ongoing retationship.

Photos wont cut it.

Is it "proof of visit"? Or "proof of meeting in person"? The difference, naturally, would be that if they met here, within the specified time frame, it's not necessary to have visited somewhere else, right?
