I'm not so sure about the spouse visas, but I know of at least two other couples besides myself doing the K-1 that just started the process. Kata (my fiance') just went back to the UK on Monday, so it's a bit lonely looking down that long pipe towards getting a visa. Trying to stay hopeful, though!

We filed in November, so praying for approval after a month but so far nothing!!

Wanting to get a move on getting prepared for the NVC stage but so far feeling very confused. All i really need to do is read the guides but I feel like my head is swimming!

One question I have is how long do the police certificates last for? Ive been thinking of ordering mine but really dont want it to expire!

Its been some advice from others.. and i love the optimism.. i wish i had some right now.

I dont know if its optimism or crazy talk but im going to go with optimism! Im trying to hold off on falling into a pit of despair for as long as possible, but im sure itll come!

Luckily i work 40 hours a week which leaves me VERY little to time to obsess over the USCIS website, although I still reserve some VJ time (I say, sitting here at quarter to 12 on a school night!)

Keep your chin up, I cant wait until the day that we all look back and laugh on this ridiculous experience!

It goes by so much quicker than you think. I don't miss the days of checking for status and I am sure my mailman does not miss me stalking him but having my husband here now makes it all seem worth the wait. In a few months we start the process to remove conditions and I am sure we will be back on here everyday again. The people on the forums are very helpful. It really does make a difference to have folks to support you through the process and cheer each other on. Best of Luck to you both.

As David'sgirl said, the time does go by quicker than you would think. Kyle and I feel like it's been forever ago from when we filed, and we can't believe how such an important decision now feels so long ago. We aren't stressed out anymore, checking the website for updates or anything else.. just living a happy life together. We were a crazy VWP--> AOS couple, and the stress was incredible during the actual process. At the end of the year we will start removing conditions for Kyle's greencard.

Good luck with the process. I'm not much of a poster here in the forums anymore, but I love catching up with everyone by reading the posts here in the UK forum.
