Im sure this topic has probably been beat to death but my fiance is moving from England come March and was wondering what the cheapest way to send about three or four boxes or so to the U.S. would be. Any certain companies or websites that you know of please let me know.

Also I found out the fee for the I-129 is 340.00 now as opposed to the 495.00 that I paid two months before it changed. We are still waiting for the date for the interview and I was wondering if I was able to get a refund for the difference if possilbe. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.,

The fee you paid was correct at the time you paid it so I don't think they would refund any money.

This is a UK shipping thread with lots of experiences if you read through it.Yes!! It's another shipping thread.

Not much you can do about the fee now, it changed and you missed out like all of us who petitioned earlier than November 2010, so no refund. As for sending boxes not sure if there is any specific company all I did was pack my things up in postal boxes and sent them air mail and they all arrived safely and pricing depended on weight.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Hi there, I used excess baggage company & i found them to be pretty cheap to ship over boxes. I had 10 boxes which was about 32cu ft costing just under 450.00. They do tell you it can take about 8-12 weeks to ship to the USA. My boxes did take about 8weeks to arrive from the UK & the boxes arrived in perfect condition. Hope this information helps you. I've been here since october & my boxes arrived on the second week in december.

We first met online 2004, but things started to get serious in Dec 2007. Made my first visit to the USA in march 2008 for 2 weeks. Then returned again in Aug 2008 for 3 months.. Then i came back to the UK for 5 months to return back to the USA April 2009 for another 3months.

Maybe discussed to death but not in the K-1 forum.... I am moving this thread to the UK forum, a much more appropriate place to post a topic such as this

YMMV
