So this probably is a very simple question: where should I send my USCIS I-129F petition to??

I live in Chicago, and I saw somewhere that there is a Chicago lockbox?? I thought there was also a California Processing Center, as well as Vermont, but I haven't actually come across their addresses? I have seen 2 for TX - one for Dallas, and one for a city that starts with an L?? Should I send it to the Lockbox in Chicago, or the service center in Vermont, California, or Texas??

Another thread was discussing whether the letter of intent should be sent separately to the service center, or with the package...to the lockbox??

I was just going to put EVERYTHING together, that's listed on the checklist on VJ...to Dallas?

I'm just confused by all the addresses that are floating around. Excuse my ignorance:)

you send it to texas, read the instructions, if you missed the address to send it to you probably missed more information as well.

Send it to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox. They will forward it to the next service center once they check the documents.

If you are sending it by regular mail you can use the USCIS, P.O. BOX 660151, Dallas, TX 75266. If you are sending it by express mail use ATTN: I-129F, 2501 South State Highway 121 Business, Suite 400, Lewisville, TX 75067. I suggest sending it by express mail. That way you can track the package. Also, don't for get to include the G-1145 E-notification of application acceptance. You will get a text message saying your package was received, if you include the G-1145.

I DID read the instructions to the I-129F petition, and I did not miss where to send it (USCIS Dallas Lockbox).

However, I read somewhere ELSE that there are multiple service centers, depending on where you live. I was confused, considering from what the I-129F instructions said, it seemed like EVERYONE sends the petition to Dallas, TX, regardless of where you live.

Also, my friend who did the fiance visa, said she said her petition to California, because she had heard it had faster processing time??

The instructions are correct. You have never been able to choose your service center but before the recent change in mailing instructions, petitions were mailed directly to the service center assigned to the petitioner's State of residence.

Ok, so there WAS a recent change in mailing address. Thank you:)

I'm not sure how my friend sent her petition to California then, she also is from Chicago. I'll have to ask her...although she had sent her petition back in May of 2010...before the change?

Illinois was assigned to California before the change. It's kind of in the middle of the country but not in the middle of the US population distribution. Ohio, was also assigned to California while Texas was assigned to Vermont.
