Used it for what? How is anyone to help you when you don't say what you need help with and what its for!

VSC does all kinds of applications.

Lots of people posting in the K-1 forum section about hold ups and back ups, 5 months is a general thing, if you call them they will tell you to wait longer. Theres been issues posted lately with both CSC and VSC being slow with K-1 petitions.

...Theres been issues posted lately with both CSC and VSC being slow with K-1 petitions.

My question, and the thing most frustrating to me is: "What are their issues?"

Why can't USCIS make some statement about why their K1 processing time is all of a sudden twice as long as it was 4 months ago?

Things happen that cause delays, we all know that. I just want to know what. What is it that has doubled the processing time?

Actually, VSC is slowly picking up on their work again. Hope they will be in full swing once the holidays are competely over.

I would appreciate anything you could provide in the way of evidence to back up you statement that "VSC is slowly picking up on their work." I would love to believe that that is true, but I don't.

Alternatively, I would still like some real information about what slowed them down so in the first place.

I was looking at Igor's List, which is the only update we have access to (that I know of). So far they approved 9 petitions since Jan 1st and VJers are only a small percent of what is really processed. They processed the same amount of petitions in the whole month of December alone.

As far as getting real info, well that ain't goin to happen. USCIS lacks communication, not only with us petitioners but within their own organization.

At the top of the page, click on Immigration Timelines. Look where it says statistics, you'll see Igor's list. You'll probably want to change the service center to Vermont when looking at results.

I understood there were an influx of people filing from Haiti and they get priority due to their situation and this caused some back up ... I could be wrong but that's what I had heard.

I also notice there is no real rhyme or reason for some people getting their NOA2's more quickly than others when the situations seem the same. Some get RFE's with a lot of info provided and some with just the basics sent get their NOA2 with no RFE's... confusing and frustrating to say the least. We still have a long wait so I'm not freaking out... yet.

Good luck and good patience to you and to all of us waiting :luv:
