Piers Corbyn not only predicted the current weather, but he believes things are going to get much worse, says Boris Johnson, London's mayor.

...

Piers Corbyn believes that the last three winters could be the harbinger of a mini ice age that could be upon us by 2035, and that it could start to be colder than at any time in the last 200 years. He goes on to speculate that a genuine ice age might then settle in, since an ice age is now cyclically overdue.

It's not global warming anymore: It's global disruption. You know how fanatics like to relabel everything to suit their evil purposes. How Orwellian.

The alarmists will react in one of three ways:

1. Ignore it and keep telling us it is getting warmer as the glaciers consume us.

2. I don't know who Piers Corbyn is but his reputation must be trashed!

3. CO2 caused it to get colder!

Reading about this guy, I see quite a bit of criticism. Not of his credentials, he has a degree in physics and an advanced degree in astro physics from reputable institutions. The criticism is two fold. First, there seems to be some griping about his methodology. He refuses to discuss it, with anyone, so there is no verifying of any scientific methods. Secondly, there seems to be quite a few people who say that his predictions are much like that of a fortune teller, vague and general enough that where an optimistic assessor would find merit, but a critical assessor would find fault.

Apparently that isn't very difficult to do.

Yet again, you're jumping to conclussions.........

I read up on the guy, and all I could find were his detractors, so I summarized seing as none of that was addressed in the thread. But you jump on whatever bandwagon Fox News tells you to.

As with almost everything else results are what matters. Is he right more often than the Met? It seems so. I also know that despite the rising level of doom and gloom by the alarmists there is still an inconvenient truth. Since the high in 1998 (a strong el nino year BTW) we have not had a single year that has been warmer. Now I know the difference between weather and climate and 12 years to me is beginning to look more like climate than weather.

BTW, the lefts demonizing of Fox is funny. Never mind that I haven't watched Fox since I first read this story. I guess it gives you some sort of solace.

I wasn't attacking or supporting. The OP is bereft of many important details and thus I did a quick search about the guy. What I find odd about his predictions is similar to what others have complained about him, he lacks any detail.

You're forgetting one crucial factor, weather is local, climate is regional and in terms of man made global warming global. The mean temperature globally has been steadily increasing and that's a fact.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
