I see many people list dates on their timeline "Touched." I would assume this is self-explanatory but would like clarification. I check ours daily on the website and it always says "Initial Review." We are closing in on 5 months waiting but it has never said anything about being "Touched. Thanks!

Hi Rw,

If you go to my profile, pull up "my content "on the left side, and look for a post that says, " Is this what a Touch is?" Then you can read what some of the VJ members wrote to help me. I had no clue either, its just a matter of time before you learn more and more everyday. Good Luck! Mari and Kadir.

PS: WELCOME TO VJ!!! :star:

you have to make an account on the USCIS website. Just checking your " case status " is not going to show you the updates.

a touch is a " last update " on your case status. Basically they opend or added something to your case or moved it to another desk.

Some get these touches some never get them some get one or a few or their case status NEVER changes and they get approved when it still says initial review.

don't get to excited about touches it could be a rfe,

Kelly, I like it better when you said they moved the file to another desk! LOL

OP -- Yeah, like Inky said, some get touched, and some dates don't change at all, but they eventually get approval.
