I mailed out our application for the I-129F on November 12 and have not gotten any confirmation that they received it, my check has not been cashed, I even called about a week ago and they told me to call after 30 days had passed. I have heard they often aren't helpful so I am just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or has suggestions on a my next action. I plan to call again at the 30 day mark and was curious as to whether or not there "better" questions to ask to get results. I am missing my fiancee and just want this process to START.

Any advice is appreciated!

Hi there.

Ours took just over 3 weeks before we heard anything. Did you send it in a way you could track it?

Also, when my fiance called he was told to wait aswell, then a few days later we received the email and text confirmations - if this makes you feel better...

good luck! :)

I 're-sent' my re-file on the same day. No word. Check not cashed. I understand the anxiety.

Definitely should not have sent another package after the initial one. It will NOT be added to your packet, most likely it will be lost in the system. You should have waited for the RFE requesting that documentation. What's done is done. Hope for the best, wait for the RFE, and when it comes THEN send it the requested info.

I'm not sure, maybe I posted in a way that was confusing. This is my INITIAL package I am talking about. I believe we have enough evidence and am HOPING we don't receive an RFE but what I am saying is I sent the initial package on the 12th of November and haven't heard ANYTHING and our check hasn't been cashed. Is there anyone who has ended up waiting past the 30 day period who has any suggestions on questions to ask USCIS when and if I call? I don't plan on resending unless someone who has had a positive experience doing that suggests it.

@KirstyDustin

That really does calm my nerves a bit! Both my fiance and I have been very nervous and to know someone else has had a long wait makes me feel much better! Hopefully we are lucky enough to receive something within the next few days and I won't have to call.

Thanks to everyone on your input! Further advice will be accepted and appreciated as well! Good luck to everyone :)

hi, yes there are people who sent their packet but waited for over a month for their noa1... if u still not yet getting ur noa1 then after 1 month i suggest you call them, sometimes they already sent it just that sometimes the noa1 is lost in the mail.. its better to call for u to be sure they sent it or not.. well good luck to u...

BTW, u didnt received any txt confirmation from them or e-mail that they send already ur noa1? well dont worry u will gonna have it soon too... :star:

Only a pleasure :) The wait is a killer - but you get through it, and when you receive the notification you will be like me (jumping up and down) LOL. :ot: Where in Canada are you from? I am in contact with two other Canadians in the same process :):ot2: Again goodluck :)

I am actually from the US, he is from Kitchener, ON. He is only a few hours away yet we need a visa for us to be together. It's strange how our world has created imaginary lines we need documents to pass over! Still no word yet. Since you are in contact with other Canadians, do you know if he needs a visitor's visa to come here for a few days? I've heard he may but we want to make sure.
