on background checks, how much weight do they place on family and friends of family members?

i understand that should have some importance, but on the other hand we cant choose our family :angry:

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.

I don't think any of that is important. i think only YOU and your spouse are important for the exact reason you mention, you can't choose your family.

Ha I would definitely of been denied if our family and friends mattered...I think That would be a little too much as we can only be ourselves and cannot control others.

thank you so much! :crying: this has been giving us fits and every time i read another thread where someone gets after being queston about friends who also got denied.

it just worried me since he is coming from pakistan. thank you so much! my mind is more at ease now!
