gugu,

I found your joke to be funny. I was also able to realize that you were just joking and meant no harm in it. That is why I found it funny. Keep up the positive attitude...you've been waiting long enough.

mrc, where have you been?

The joke was in poor taste, although I know that gugu meant no harm to the others.

He!!, he even said that it was not pointed at the ones who actually broke up. He was looking for any angle on the approval. This guy has been with his lady for 3 years and has a child. He still awaits an approval after all this time. More time than anyone else on the board.

Give the dude a break already.

 phewww. thnx MRC and willi. i remmembered alst day i put a note on the board that once a poet said:

i been through so many troubles that every trouble started to feel easier.

there is a chinese saying" when there is a rape on the table be easy"

since we all are on the same side then why dont we take in a little humor otherwise we could all just give in to the open bottle and anxiety pills or quitting, letting the embassy win. why not just be strong, hold in there. rely on one another as we are now and keep smiles on our faces. sounds like a better option to me.

Thank you for at least making me laugh!!!!!

The discovery of vicodin in the bathroom a few days ago (from some dental work in the spring, I think) was a bad find. Although I am exercising every day, I am drinking every night. And now, since I've had horrible back pain (stress, anyone?) the vicodin is coming in much too handy!!!

gugu24, you may want to relax the "over the top" quotes and statements.

That chinese saying is either a bad translation or something worse. I personally find that crime resolved with a long rope and a short chair.

Good luck in getting the Visa.

yeah you're right. my fiance dislikes that quote too and chances are i probably do have that wrong. She is saying i better quit while im ahead since im showing symptoms of foot in mouth disease lol

Jen you seem to be in a bad mood today and taking everything out of context. im not trying to start a war here so please dont take it as an invite to one. like i said before i sometimes have trouble wording what im trying to express. sorry if it keeps offending you.

I'm not in a bad mood at all. I'm just sensitive to people's feelings and I don't find jokes related to their misery funny in any way. I tried not to be offended by your 'rape' comment, as I really had no idea of the point you were trying to make in saying what you did. You must never have experienced an emotional break up such as the ones expressed on this board today. You must also not have been raped, or understand its impact, for that matter, or you wouldn't make such a comment in such a casual way.

I understand that you didn't mean your original post the way it was interpreted... people are going to respond to the things that touch them. I might have passed this by had I not been active in those earlier threads today. I felt like I needed to speak up, just like you did. We are each entitled to our respective opinions.

You are anxious for your approval, along with many others still waiting, and I understand that. I hope it happens soon.

Peace,

Jen

I've been busy with work lately. Been in some damn six-week leadership school designed to hone my leadership skills. I only have three weeks to go!

I'm tired, my head hurts, I miss my girl and people are pissing me off...my leadership skills are evolving.
