I know this sounds ridiculous.... but I missed my oath ceremony this week. I was thinking on the following and I would appreciate any advice on it:

1.- Go to my scheduled place and talk to anybody that works there, explain what happened and see if i could be naturalized the same day.

2.- Go to my local USCIS office and seek for help.

3.- Wait for another letter.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Call your local USCIS or schedule an infopass to reschedule. Don't expect the rescheduled new oath letter to come very fast. It might take very long.

Um no. You will need to show up when you are schedualed. If you miss it (and really only death should be the only reason to ever miss this), then you will have to re-apply for a new date which could be months or longer down the road. Some people have waited over a year or more to get a re-schedualed oath. This is why you never just miss it and if you have to miss it, you arrange that way before hand and you only do this if there's matters of life and death concerned. Then you wait till they tell you your next date is...

I'd go to the place you were scheduled for oath and ask about re-schedule, but DON'T expect to be naturalized the same day - you're the one who failed to show up on the specific date.

In most cases, INFOPASS offices are in the same area as the oath ceremonies so they may just re-direct you to go there.
