my wife was told this morning that the london embassy approved the expedite request from the nvc for ourselves.

she asked if we have our iin yet and was told we wont be given one by the nvc in the usa as it'll be dealt with at the embassy.

so, the case was transferred from the uscis to the nvc and almost immediately transferred to london - without any document processing from the nvc in the us.

any ideas what will happen now - will i be contacted or my wife. should i call the us embassy in london for advice on what to do next? if anyone has advice thatd be awesome.

#does this mean ive beaten loto's record of going through the nvc - unofficially yes. officially NO - as no documentation has been compkete there yet. lol

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

the same happened to me, so it seems we are in the same boat, our case was expedited but we didnt send the AOS docs and the IV paskgage (DS 230). my advise cus I am doing the same, even though I am getting crazy to get an interview soon, is that you have to read through the USEM in London website. Read carefully, they indicate the next step, sometimes, in my case I emailed the USEM yesterday, havent got a reply yet though, I will call tomorrow because USEM attention here is not good, they just have call servise on wed, from 2 to 4, so give it a shot.

although, I read a post that we have to expedite through the embassy again, I wonder why because the USEM was the one which aproved the expedite in first plece.

well, just keep us updated I will, tomorrow when I call. good luck :)

thanks for your reply. yes it does seem strange. whether its a seperate department that makes the expedite decision and another that continues the process is beyond me. in some ways id be surprised if we have to put in another request but theres always a curveball!

i ll call them tomorrow and see what i can find out. im all set for the nvc stage processing at the embassy.....once my iv documents arrive in the usa and then are returned back to me!! im sure i read once that you take all the documents to the interview, but i cant be sure. we'll soon find out anyway!

thanks. we requested it for medical and humanitarian issues we had, mainly. and provided a ton of info and proof that it met the criteria for the uscis. its all about the proof you can provide, be it one letter or ten really. you have to prove there is a genuine reason that you need to be viewed prior to others.

Congrats on the expedite. Call the Embassy on Friday and ask them exactly what to do. They will tell you what they need and how to send it to them.

Get all your documents together fast it moved really fast with an expedite in the USEM.

Thanks for your kind comments mate.

An update, Ive called the embassy in London and they have not officially entered our case into the system as yet, but was told I can email them noting that my medical is booked, and I will have the documentation and forms back in my possession within a week or so.

The person I spoke to was more knowledgable than many Ive spoken to at that level before and was most helpful.

I was told that my documents will be more than likely required on the day of the interview, which could take a week or two to book. And, that expedited processing at the beginning of the NVC stage is unusual but not uncommon - as we know, the NVC schedules the interview for the beneficiary with the relevant embassy.

I did ask if it was worth attaching the ds230 and ds2001 to my email but was told it wasnt necessary as they obviously require an original signature.

Yes, thats what threw me a little, as the expedite criteria for stages says a request is needed for all (3) stages. BUT im assuming that is if you dont initiate the requests at USCIS and NVC levels for whatever reason, then if an expedite is required at the Embassy stage, you obviously have to request it at that stage.

The operator did tell me it may take a week or two for it all to be completed but no further request is needed as I&G stated.

I dont trust 'em...push it all through...shove it down their throats!!

Got my IIN this morning...not active yet..according to the operator..but it's there. So, now I'm waiting to hear back from lawyer with his own checklist as well as the stuff I know I need to get from here. Should'nt be any difference..but he's got some stuff we already gave him, so I dont want to backtrack and waste time.

Ok, so, where do i Log in to check the IIN to see if the AOS is ready to be paid? GrassyAzz (gracias) to all my muchachos and muchachas..=)

its hardder with the consulate - as its like fort knox - and you need a specific code each time you email the embassy in london anyway, which you have to ring up for - and its about 2 bucks a minute, not like the nvc when you can really hammer their phonelines - they are wise to our tactics, and have been for some time!:lol:

I have emailed the embassy though and given them every ounce of detail regarding our case, so should get a response by the end of the week. It wont matter too much as Ive sent all my documents to my wife - genius! Though I wasnt expecting an expedite and wanted to save time.

Good times - you have your IIN thats a good sign, they didnt bother with ours!

I would get on your lawyers case, give him a list of instructions that you want done and say you want them done by this afternoon lol

Ya, dummy..how dare you send your stuff to your wife..let alone USC...they just dont take this stuff seriously..they'll never understand.

Good thing my wife and my documents are only 4 hours away

When we get to the States Richi..we'll have to meet up somewhere in between..make it a yearly thing..share a pint of beer.

Without doubt mate, we will have to expedite that too

Hope all goes well today for the little one - she goes into hospital today? Get your lawyer to lay it on thick there as its vital, and also while your wifes there maybe she can get a dr/specialist letter drawn up to save time.

I think I included the link for the portal mate. Ive not had to use it, im stepping into fresh waters, there's either going to be a cold beer waiting on a surfboard for me....or a great white, ready to rip my limbs off!
