DS-230 signature date?

Hi Guys,

I want my wife to sign and send me DS-230 form, but we're thinking if date

of when she signs it is important. Can she sign it earlier than when we actually get to NVC stage?

12/06/2010 -- NVC Received

12/07/2010 -- AOS fee paid

12/10/2010 -- DS-3032 NVC Received

12/11/2010 -- AOS I-864 mailed

12/15/2010 -- IV Bill invoiced

12/16/2010 -- IV Bill showed as paid

12/16/2010 -- DS-230 sent

12/17/2010 -- DS-230 NVC Received

12/21/2010 -- Entered DS-230 into the system

01/10/2011 -- RFE for i-864 signature

01/11/2011 -- RFE NVC Received

01/13/2011 -- RFE entered into system

SIF - 01/31/2011 :) Thank God!

Case completed - 02/01/2011

Interview - 03/29/2011 Scheduled on 02/11/2011

03/29/2011 put on AP for two weeks

04/16/2011 POE JFK!

2/2/2013 Received NOA1

02/08/2013 Received biometrics appointment letter

It's a shortcut that would save you a few days maybe!?maybe you can use a similar colour pen and you can just add the proper date...

Just be careful to have her fill out both (part I and II) but sign only part I, right?

06/29/2010 - received by uscis

07/06/2010 - notice NOA1

07/08/2010 - updated

07/10/2010 - got NOA1 hard copy in the mail

11/01/2010 - moved from CSC to TSC

11/02/2010 - updated

11/03/2010 - updated

11/23/2010 - updated (post decision activity)

02/09/2011 - notification moved from TSC (back to initial review :o )

02/10/2011 - confirmation TSC back to CSC!

02/16/2011 - APROVED!!!!!

NVC journey:

02/25/2011 - we're IN :)) case # Emailed DS 3032. Paid AOS Fee.

03/01/2011 - DS 3032 approved (confirmation by email)

03/02/2011 - AOS shows paied -> AOS packet mailed out

03/04/2011 - AOS received

03/07/2011 - IV generated & paid

03/09/2011 - IV paid! mailed out->

03/14/2011 - IV received

03/31/2011 - Case complete @ NVC!!!

If you have her fill in the date of signature, why don't you just fill the the day when she signed it? There's no rule or regulation that says you have to sign it on the day you are sending it. She could sign it on the day she mails it to you. You'll get it in few days. Then you fill it out and mail it to NVC. Keep things simple 'n' clean.
