We are fairly new to this process. And honestly, we have been told several times that we have it easy compared to others. But even one touch, knowing that our file moved from one in-box to someone's out-box, is such a huge step.

Just want to thank everyone for their advice. Whether I agreed with it or not, I took it to heart. I wish everyone the best on their journey and I hope we all can soon be reunited with our loves.

LoriT, Congradulations on getting started, but I wouldn't get too excited about getting touched in the first week. I got my NOA1 june 24 and my only touch was June 28. I have heard nothing in 4 1/2 months. So settle down for a long wait, figure in March for your NOA2 and probably June 2011 for approved Visa, Sorry, Bill

Actually... since we were planning on a July 1st approval that is good news. Yes, I'm a dreamer, but a realistic dreamer.

Hi, just wondered how you find out whether your case has been 'touched'?

Is it just a case of signing up for email updates on the USCIS website?

We received our NOA1 on 08/27 so would love to know if there's been any progress....

hello!! you type in your case number in the uscis website. then on the left once you log in there is an icon that says 'log in to my acocunt'. you can create a username and password there and then check the last updated section to see when you were touched. the thing that confused me was that putting your case number in does not mean you are logged in. you must be logged in with your username and password to see if you've been 'touched'. you must select 'add a new case to my portfolio to make an account.

good luck :)

October 8th- Sent off K-1 visa package

October 21st- Received email saying we have been assigned to CSC

October 29th- NOA1 received!!!

March 16th 2011- Received email saying petition for fiance has been approved and that NOA2 is in the mail!

April 12th 2011- Waiting on lettter with interview date from Dublin Embassy. Medical scheduled for 26th April

I wouldn't be so pesimistic, if you look at peoples timelines, some got their NO2 in less than 2 months: while I agree it may take a while, anything is possible!!
