I am not a November filer but my friend filed on Nov 18, got her NOa on the first week in december can't remember the date, Had her bio on Dec 27, yesterday when I checked her case status it should that her card production was ordered. Her case was never touched and she never got an email.

Mine was applied at VSC. I had called USCIS multiple times and they kept telling me that they made multiple requests for me. They also gave me case of each of requests. Every time I called them, they told me I have to wait another 30 days and 30 days from the date when I made a request. I'm so confused..It was so funny that the last time I called them, the customer representative told me that "they had made the requests by email already, If the supervisor didn't consider or make decision, so they have no thing to do, It's not their business" ...I have no idea..what am I supposed to do ....

After waiting for six weeks and haven't got any mail from USCIS, I called them (1-800-375-5283) and my biometric appointment arrived in two weeks. I don't know if it was coincidence or my call gave them a poke. But it doesn't hurt to try. Or maybe your local office is just swamp with applicants and they haven't gotten to your case for bio appointment.

Hello everybody!

I don't know what's happening with my case, and I'd like to ask you if you ever heard of anything like this... It's probably common, but it might not be, so I'm not sure what to think or do about it.

I filed at the beginning of November, they cashed my check and sent me a NOA extending my resident status for a period of one year. Since then I checked my case status online a few times, I used to be able to do that, and then it disappeared. For the past few weeks, every time I try to check it online, it doesn't show up, I just get a message saying they can't find my case and my reference number. I called them, and they couldn't find it by phone either. Someone there said there might be a glitch (?) in the system, and I shouldn't worry about it. That was a few weeks ago, and still every time I try to find my case online I get the same response, like it doesn't exist anymore. What should I do? Is this normal?

Hi there, my understanding is you need the number from your bio notice to get status updates. I didn't use my husbands since I didn't want to have play the watched pot game :blink:

The biometrics went well, very nice guy.

Oh BTW, the application number on my biometrics letter does not allow me to access my case online at USCIS website... Does anyone else have problems with non valid app number??

Ours did not show up on line at first either. It said "cannot find your case at this time" or something like that. It took a few weeks before it showed up on line.

Yes. You don't have an interview at biometrics. If they want an interview for your case, they'll send you interview letter later. But it's rare at ROC.

My wife completed the biometrics on 1/18/2011 walked in and out without any questions.

:Question:

We would like to travel to see her parents in Belize.

Would it be a problem to travel with an expired GC and the biometrics letter?

Or should we just cancel all plans and wait for the Approval. Any suggestions.

Immigration Journey

09/15/08- Married my Wife.

10/07/08- Sent out I-130, I-485, GR-325A, I-864, I-765, I-693 Evidence of Marriage.

10/09/08- Package arrives in Chicago.

10/16/08- Money Orders Cashed. $930, $80, $355

10/20/08- NOA Received for I-130, I-485, I-765

10/27/08- (I-130) -- TOUCHED

10/28/08- Received Biometric Appointment for 11/07/08

11/07/08- Completed Biometrics. 30mins in and out.

11/07/08- Both I-485 and I-765 touched. Looks like it was touched/updated due to biometrics.

11/24/08- Requested I-765 Expedite.

11/28/08- Received Interview date for 01/28/09 @12:30pm/ garden city, ny.

12/08/08- I-765 updated on USCIS. Ordered production of your new card. Think expedite worked.

12/18/08- EAD CARD RECEIVED (expires 12/12/09)

12/30/08- Applied for SS with EAD, Birth Certificate, Marriage License, Passport no i-94 or valid visa was needed.

1/28/09- Conditional Green card approved. Passport stamp I-551.

11/8/10- (I-751) Removal of conditions received in Vermont. $545.00 Sent

11/17/10- Received I-751 Receipt dated 11/9/10.

12/29/10- Recieved NOA for biometrics on 1/18/2011 , 1PM. Woodside, NY location.

hi there, take your noa1 with you when you travel to belize, read it carefully it is a one year extension to the validity of your wife's greencard. so your wife would present current/expired greencard/passport and noa1. then no problems!!!! happy travels.

Oh BTW, the application number on my biometrics letter does not allow me to access my case online at USCIS website... Does anyone else have problems with non valid app number??

06/17/2008: INTERVIEW: Visa approved!!

09/05/2008: AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago

09/11/2008: Notice date for I-485, I-131 and I-765

10/16/2008: SSA finally gave me a SSN!!

11/17/2008: AP received and EAD approved!

11/20/2008: Biometrics appointment AND Green card interview in Fairbanks.

12/29/2008: I went to my local office to regive my biometrics. And my EAD card has finally been issued!!

01/12/2009: EAD received!! Finally

02/09/2009: GC received in the mail :) Anniversary is 01/29/11

Removal of conditions:

11/09/10: Divorced

11/18/10: Sent I-751 to CSV

11/30/10: Receipt notice received in the mail

12/30/10: Called USCIS as no news for 1 month after NOA1

1/10/11: Emailed from USCIS about my call: "The process for fingerprint appointment scheduling has been requested."

1/13/11: NOA2 ASC appointment notice

2/3/11: Biometrics at local office (NOA2 recieved on 2/2/11!!!)

2/16/11: Date of decision: APPROVED

2/24/11: Card in hand
