Thanks in advance and sorry if this was already answered.

I am trying to figure out which Alien registration number to use on my Wife's I-485 / g-325a / I-765 / I-864 for her adjustment of status.

When I received her approval notice I-797, under Beneficiary there is her name and an A number (It starts with an A and has 9 more numbers starting with 0). I read this was definitely her Alien Registration number, and that this number didn't change. Yet when looking at her Visa and I-94, there is a different A number (starts A and has 8 digits), than the one on the I-797 under annotation on the visa and hand written on the back of her I-94. So my question is which one should I use when filling out her AOS paperwork? Or should I leave it blank?

Thanks so much, trying to get this sent off asap...

The one on her NOA2 is her A number. That's the one that was first automatically generated. The others are typed in by Immigration officers are are often wrong.

When she gets her biometrics etc make sure you double check that they've carried on the same one from her NOA2 that you wrote on the paperwork. Sometimes they can pull the "wrong" one up.

If it makes you feel better you can also include a note that mentions the wrong A numbers and confirms that NOA2 one is the correct one.
