how to file k1 visa

you must meet in person within 2yrs of filing the k-1 so if I were you I would tell him/her to come and visit you first then file the k-1 because there is a question on the app that ask have you met within 2yrs of filing the petiton and if so you will need or want to provide pics, visa stamps, and or boarding passes to prove....good luck

NO because K1 requires that YOU TWO HAVE MET IN PERSON in the last 2 years. K1 is assumed to be based on a genuine relationship which, although possible to develop through chats, they require a personal meeting of you the petitioner and her the beneficiary ( which you should be able to prove through evidence not only when she applies for the visa but when you apply to petition her)=)

The only way to get around the 2-year meeting rule is to file a waiver stating that it would cause EXTREME hardship for the two of you to have to meet in person before filing. These waivers are almost impossible to get approved. You can certainly try, but your best bet is just to suck it up, meet in person and then file. Good luck!

Here is a link to a thread about 2-year meeting waivers. It's actually very interesting if you read both of the cases mentioned in the first post. Hopefully this will help you see what does or doesn't constitute "extreme hardship" in these cases and how unlikely it is that a waiver you filed would get approved.

Nope, not possible. You need to see each other first and then file the petition. You need proof that you met within the past two years prior to your fiance's filing of the petition. And then, more proof of the ongoing relationship will be needed at the interview.

Don't engage in a process that's only for couples in love, couples who just want to get married and know each other, at least a little bit.

I doubt you know each other though you haven't met.

Read the I-129F instructions and you'll take it from there.
