Hello,

First of all I would like to thank you in advance for any help/guidance.

.

I am a US citizen, and I am going to get married soon outside India. The girl i am getting married is not US citizen. After getting married I will be filling for I 130.

Now, since she dont leave in US. I dont have any financial joint account or joint property. So other evidence we can subbmit is "Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship." and marriage certificate.

What other supporting documents can we subbmit?

Do I have to subbmit this documents along with I 130?

Can someone please explain the underlined sentance above in detail? as far as, how to obtain them?, what format they should be in? who can do them for us? etc.....

What other supporting documents are concidered proof of ongoing relationship?

I will really appreciate your help.

Thank you

Well, congratulation in advance for your wedding. Hopefully, it will be blissful, both, to be married and to be in marriage. Now in regards to bona fide marriage, I personally didn't have to include anything other than marriage certificate. It was fine and my case was approved. But many people here recommend you can include various other things like a history of phone call, chat log, evidence for sending money, gifts, cards, etc. You can, if you want, have personal affidavit from your family and friends. Or from your local religious organizations.

What other supporting documents can we subbmit?

Any documented travel together? Airline tickets?

Do you have any children together? A child's birth certificate may also be submitted.

Do I have to subbmit this documents along with I 130?

No, you do not need these documents when submitting I-130. Gather and organize these documents for the interview.

What other supporting documents are concidered proof of ongoing relationship?

The strongest evidence would be showing pooling of financial resources. This does not necessarily mean a joint bank account or property. It could mean: utility bill, phone bill, car loan, memberships.

I'm not sure how's the setup in India. But basically any document that has both your names on it may help.

Congratulations on your marriage!

What you need at this stage is the Certificate of Marriage.

By the time you have the interview, your life together has barely BEGUN.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
