I-130 - Filling to bring my wife to US

Hello,

I will really appreciate help/guidance on this requirement for filling I-130.

WHAT DOCUMENTS DO YOU NEED TO PROVE FAMILY RELATIONSHIP?

> "Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship. (Each affidavit must contain the full name and address, date and place of birth of the person making the affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner of beneficiary, if any, and complete information and details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge of your marriage);"

I just got married and filling to bring my wife to US. I do not have any joint financial account or joint ownership of property, as she is out of US. Do I need to submit Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship? If yes, how should I obtain it? and what are these documents.

Information like where your wife's home country is will help members whose spouses reside in the same country offer more location-specific answers. The only piece of evidence that you need to prove that you're married is a photocopy of your marriage certificate. However, it's always a good thing to add other pieces of evidence as well. This may include sworn affidavits by either friends or family members that have been witness to your relationship and/or marriage. The affidavits don't have to be notarized.
