Should i need to inform my employer about my legal status for removal of conditions if I have not received the 10 year greencard yet and the expiration date on the 2 yr greencard comes (in Nov 18)?.. Are there ramifications on that?

What is my status when the 2-yr greencard expires and I have not received the replacement card yet? Will my employment be affected?

I am just about to send my packet tomorrow... still within the 90 day window.

About a week to 10 days after you sent in your I-751, you will get a Notice of Action (NOA1) which extends the validity of your Green Card ONE MORE YEAR. No, you do not have to inform your employer but if he asks you about it all you have to do is show them the letter.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Once you receive you NOA1 for your I-751 your greencard is automatically extended for one year. Nothing else needed. All residency, travel and employment authorizations are extended.

YMMV

Once you received the NOA does it mean that you are able to travel safely outside the country? I am curious i am going to file mine this end of october and cant make a decision if i am able to travel next year by january or february. Your opinion will be appreciated. thanks.

we have the same situation. Just show the letter you will get later when they receive your I-751 packet. The letter will say that you have an extension of one year.

I filed i751 in June and my greencard expired in august but I received a letter where my residence was extended for a year just like the previous posts say. Now I received a letter saying I need more proof of marriage but I have no more. I sent my taxes pictures and bank statements. Don't know what to do next.
