Hi, 15 days ago, I sent my letter of employment via regular mail and some other paperwork needed. Well, it seems for the first time, the letter is probably lost or held up in customs in Morocco. Usually, my fiance get my letters within 9 days after I send them. His interview is on Tuesday of next week so I was wondering would the Embassy take a faxed copy of Letter of Employment as proof?

There is always Monday with hopes he may get the letter but if not I was just wondering about the faxed letter.

Thank you.....

The Moroccan consulate's fax number doesn't work for international incoming faxes. You could scan it, email it, and have him print it out to take to the interview, but only to present to them until you can re-mail another original copy. I have a feeling they're going to want an original ;) Good luck with the interview!

Hi Sarah,

Yes the original would be perfect if possible so soon. I just got my second job last week and there is no way I am paying another $147.00 just to send one letter. He already has the first Letter of Employment to my first job but this last job was so soon and I was hoping he could explain it to them and just show them that I was just hired. Gonna fax it to him Saturday at one of the local places there.

Thanks for you reply.

If you paid $147 to send one document, you got ripped.. As I recall, your SO lives in Casa, right? If you were to send it Express Mail, a flat rate envelope is $28.95 and it's delivered to his door in 7 days.. Oh my goodness, I bet you used FedEx.. tsk tsk.. ;)

In some cases at some embassies they have done this. Consulate specific. Worst case, he gets approved and they wait to issue the visa until he brings in the papers.

The first packet was all the important things for his interview and the I-864 with my other letter of employment and all the new evidence. I wanted to make sure he received it within a short period of time as we were running late. He got the mail in three day using Express Global. Gosh no I would never use Global for one document LOL. I scanned the documents as some others had mentioned and I guess if we get RFE or go into AP, then I will have to send the original document.
