So my husband and I are currently living with his mom, stepfather, aunt, her family and his brother. We are filing the I-864 and are stating that our household size is 2 since technically any financial necessities my husband pays for us only. Since we are only using his income alone, do we need to file the I-864A? under part 24 in the I-864, am I supposed to check off c or d? I didn't put my name in section b since I have no income. I'm supposed to check either one of these two boxes:

c.The persons listed above have completed Form I-864A. I am filing along with this form all necessary Forms I-864A completed by these persons.

d.The person listed above, complete Form I-864A because he/she is the intending immigrant and has no accompanying dependents.

I don't understand because isn't the I-864A filed only if we are using another person's income? If we check d, it's saying that my husband is the intending immigrant?

Just do the I-864 with family size 2. Don't list your name where it asks for family members income. That would be for example to list his dad if you needed his income to put you over the threshhold. In that example , Dad would do an 864A which is basically giving his permission to count his income.
