Hi - for the I-129F - what's the first 3 letters of the receipt number ?

I hope you have viewed this one --> http://www.visajourney.com/news/2010/02/07/department-of-state-to-close-k-3-visas-if-i-129f-and-i-130-petitions-approved-and-received-together/

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hello Darnell,

The first three letters were EAC. Same with our NOA for I-130. Can we please know why you ask?

Thanks!

EAC -> Eastern Application Center -> Vermont Service Center.

My confusion lies in 'sending something to Texas'.

Thanks for answering me, though.

Yea, we were confused about where to send it actually. But we called the USCIS three times and gave us the same address over and over. So we did it. And we found out that our files are really in Vermont. So maybe they were the one's who directed.

Hey, I'm still new here. I added you in my friends' list but I can't see you yet.

The cr-1 will take about 8 - 12 months (good thing, longer if you are from Canada), read the link I posted and see what the next steps are after USCIS

Good luck

Dont' set unrealistic expectations for yourself. It's looking at 5 months for USCIS approval according to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do;jsessionid=acbF6I12xjOPFdLWRjQSs

then 1-3 months for NVC.

Dont' set on January 2011, that is unrealisitc

Good luck

Well, ok. But that is never unrealistic because some were able to get it through. Their I130 got approved after 39days. Also, the NVC will be the one who will decide if 129F or I130 will be pursued in which 129f for K3 visa is lesser waiting. There's nothing wrong with hoping anyway. We just don't want to settle for less. If that's your mind-set then there's nothing wrong with that. We are just thinking outside of the box which also possible.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
