I know this is strange to ask cause they are in the media everywhere.. But I need to find 2 examples of fallacies.. Video/Audio/Type works fine.. I am looking for the most crazy and insane ones.. Here are the two

Red Herring Fallacy (Bring up another subject to divert from the original question or act at hand)

Past Belief (Basically saying all women should be at home cooking cause that is what they used to do)

Any help from you guys would be great.. Again I find them everywhere but I want the most absurd ones.

senator Kennedy n the bridge incident "I was not drinking at the time.. and no idea how that woman got in my car when it went over"

google "50's wife" from i believe time magazine... how shes to be home caring for everything and dont bother the man with her "trivial" matters

it should be noted that he was in the air guard, not the navy. only the navy does carrier landings......

then why attempt it? As you know and are aware... one slip and he's in the brink... and Pres Chaney takes over. see? Red Herring... I still dont when he was last cert'd to fly F16.. prolly yrs. my father used to fly Herculese ... at time when you didnt need to reup the license... i wouldnt trust him to get back behind the stick of one of those to save my life.

Thanks for the replies and keep 'em coming... anything helps and yeah I was just waiting for something about phallic symbols coming up sooner or later.. guess it was sooner .. I have to make a presentation on 27 different fallacies.. many of the different types.. and these 2 that I posted out here the red herring and the past belief I think can be some of the funniest.

Well, of course to be serious, there's the 'post hoc ergo propter hoc' fallacy which is 'after this, therefore because of it'...but I don't know what kind of visuals you would use to explain this.

Example: I washed my car, then it rained, therefore washing my car causes it to rain.

It's one of the things that I remember from Econ in college, lol
