How long before I receive anything from NVC

hi guys...

i was looking at people with similar timelines as me. i'm feeling left out. just about a majority of them were march filers. i noticed that almost all of them was already in the middle of their NVC process. i'm a february filer...but so far has not heard from NVC yet about anything else. most of the people with my similar timeline received some sort of documents a few days after NVC got their case file. it's been over a week since NVC received my file and nothing.

i guess im just feeling left out

I hope you didn't form that opinion by reading stuff here at VJ, really.

You need to call in to NVC, daily or every other day, until you are certain that NVC has yer casefile

and then

didn't really form an opinion. was just a bit green with jealousy at how most of them are already way into their NVC journey.

You need to call in to NVC, daily or every other day, until you are certain that NVC has yer casefile

they've already given my a case number when i called over a week ago...so that would at least make me think that they already have my file

ask often, until you receive it in yer email.

if you don't give them that right away it will take months for them to send you snail mail.

looks like i will have to keep doing that. i've been calling at least 2-3 times each week asking them status. but they keep saying the universal response...4-6 weeks.

yeah each time i called i spoke with a human (although i beg to differ...they may just be drones...lol). and i gave them email address the same day i got my case number. yesterday i called to verify that they did have my correct email address...even spelled it out. the guy i spoke with was kinda rude. i guess i caught him as he was leaving the office for the day...lol. i'll try again today and ask them exactly what you stated for me to ask.

ok i just called them again. i told the lady i spoke with to email me my aos fee bill. she said that since NVC just received my case file recently, from the date they receive it, it usually takes 2-4 weeks before they start sending mail out. ok...so that would make the end of this week the second week. hopefully i see something in my inbox soon.

ah - ok... usually, 2 weeks after NOA-2 date (printed in the letter) is the right 'window' to be a pest at NVC.

If it's been more than 2 weeks - ouch.

Oh well - the good side is that they actually have the casefile at NVC, it's not still at USCIS or lost in Transit.

Hi! And what's about the D230? I mailed my 3032, payed the bill, mailed the I864 and docs, what's next, how that is work? They have our email address. Can I send now the D230 and docs or should I wait to receive a notification about the IV bill?

How did you pay ?

If you paid via the online payment portal, for the AOS/I-864,

then keep checking the online payment portal, daily, until you see the IV fee bill ready to be paid.

If you did not pay via the online payment portal, then suggest you call in to NVC, daily, and talk with a human about that 'next step'.

My reply is missing. We're in the same situation. My case number was assigned on 08/17/2010. And I haven't received any notification from NVC. But we realized that my husband's DOB is incorrect in their systems, so we emailed them a copy of his passport and birth certificate and we're waiting for the correction to add the email address. Well I hope they understand they can send everything to the email address we used for the correction cause we can not have or ask for any information over the phone 'til they fix the DOB. Hopefully they fix it this week.

@howlong...i am assuming that you were advised by NVC to submit supporting docs for bday correction via email? i'd wait a few days before calling back to verify that the correction has been made. and i'll let you know if i hear from them about my case.
