:) You'll be fine......

Just RELAX....

When I left there in the PI last July 16 2010, I flew w/ Delta too, eventhough I travelled to HongKong one time to picked it up my husband there and flew back to the PI, I felt nervous still when I think I'm going all alone to the US but I did it well...BTW, my flight was Davao-Manila-Japan-Detroit-Tampa and I have no $$$$ in my wallet that time coz I don't want too hehe only pesos but it's better you'll bring lil bit extra of $.Wear comfortale lol. :)

Good luck and God Bless!!!

Have a nice safe trip:-)

Hello VJ people!I would be so grateful to hear any advice from you

I'm so nervous about my plane ride, it's my first time to travel out of the country. I will be flying to the U.S next week. I'm really getting nervous now. I will be flying with delta alone to meet my fiance.

Can anyone please share some experience when you were going to the U.S. Like your experience at the NAIA airport(I'm from Philippines BTW)and your experience stopping over to japan and your port of entry to the United States. My flight is from Manila to Japan then Japan to Detroit and to Chicago where my fiance is going to pick me up. My fiance ordered me a ticket online and he just gave me a confirmation number for it and told me to just give it when I'm already at the airport. And what about money, how much do you think I'm going to spend for it. and do i have to bring dollars too? Sorry i asked too much

Thanks in advance for the reply, God bless you

Zah

Tell your future husband not to be so cheap & lazy, and at least meet you in Detroit. And your really flying "North Worst Airlines" they changed their name to trick you.

My fiancée had $40 and spent $8. You will need about 2000 peso departure tax at the NAIA...they will accept dollars too.

Detroit will be your entry point to USA, so you will have line up at special entry point line at the international concourse. They will take your paperwork, digital fingerprint you and you most likely will go to a room so they can check your paperwork, maybe 10 mins. They will not delay you so much to miss your flight.

Also, if you need help getting to your gate, ask any person there with a uniform and they will direct you...don't be shy!

hi welcome to the US..we have the same port of entry detroit but my next flight was going to orlando..like you its my first time to travel outside the country also at that long hours..i flew with delta airlines also at that time and had stop over at narita, japan..on the day of your flight be there at the airport 3 hrs before your flight coz delta counter is the busiest counter always so its better to go early so you dont worry in falling in line that long..When u get to narita, japan just make sure to follow the people going on the same flight so you wont get lost..it was funny i got lost there coz i did not read which gate my plane would be and i ask some japanese and they dont know how to speak english..gossh i thought i'd be left there..lol but luckily i was able to see the flight # on the board..lesson learn be very cautious..but anyway delta service is good all i did at that time is sleep and eat..they wake u up when its time to eat..u wont really get bored also coz thet have t.v u can watch...have a safe trip and welcome to the USA...
