17 Days since NOA2 approval but still no sign of Packet 3

Hi,

Our NOA2 date is August 6, 2010. When we called NVC on August 16, they said they have received the case and gave us new case number. Since then there is no update. I am waiting for Chennai embassy to send me Packet 3 notification but so far i got nothing.

Am i supposed wait until they notify me or shall i take some sort of initiative and call NVC or Chennai embassy to find out whats up with my case?

I think you should call NVC, we did and they told us that our cas had been forwared to the embassy. We also emailed the embassy with our names DOB and CRS number and they answered back with our interview date.

Before Interview date, i have to send them Packet 3 but i have not received any mail regarding this.

Our packet 3 didn't arrive until almost a month after NOA2.

Have patience. You've gotten this far with it!

I did not receive packet 3. I just received that im eligible for an interview. What I did was go to uscis site and prepared my forms. Then I called embassy for an interview.

One more idiotic question:

Our NOA2 shows that it will expire in December i.e. 4 Months from the date of NOA2 approval. Is it normal?
