2.Anyone know if the meeting I have to have with immigration services could be arranged at the Bogota embassy, or atleast in texas so i could save money on flying.

maybe somone who knows more can chime in on question two but I'll give it a shot. there is something called DCF (direct consular filing?) where you can file from abroad but not all countries allow this, further more I think they all have different rules, for example, some US consulates will only permit DCF if you have had an address for at least six months in that country.

Please take this info with a grain of salt as it is from my memory only, use it as a direction to start googling but not as fact. Hopefully someone who knows more can correct me or add to this.

Well, your birth certificate can be issued anytime before sending it with the form, unless it has an expiration date which is the case sometimes,i hope this link helps http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_4881.html?cid=3538

And for sending electronic evidence is not acceptable in USCIS nor the interview!!

Goodluck with your journey

Thank you everyone, everything is cleared up. One more question though! On the passport style photo, that needs to be taken within 30 days of filing, how do you prove the photo is within 30 days, if im not mistaken there is no printed date on the picture...or is there?
