The graph you mention is the nationwide one. You can also select an individual service center to see their performance.

In september, CSC received 6301 case, and completed 5571 (730 are back logged). Vermont received 8926 and completed only 1162, which is a 7764(!) case backlog. So for the month the total numbers are not good. Side note: i don't know if the service center numbers include cases that get transferred to local offices (people that get called in for interviews).

The yellow line is a reasonable indicator of the processing trend, and for I-751 the national trend is an increasing backlog. Nevertheless, the current numbers are still significantly lower than the have been in the past 2 years.

Ah, I found it, it was a bit hidden in that selection box as the Field Offices were are listed there as well and I didn't look before to see if the Service Centers were listed further down. Nice data and explains why everything is getting a little slow with CSC right now in comparison to the previous months. A least a straw to hold on to while waiting ;-)

11/22/2008 (165) GREEN CARD ARRIVED!

08/23/2010 (0) package received by CSC, I-797C, NOA-1 (mailed on 08/25)

For those who received the approval letter and GC in the mail, could you please tell us where they were sent from? Service Centers or Local Offices?

I'm just curious if the adjudication usually be made by service center or local office.

Thank you and Congratulations to all that got approved. I hope the rest of us will get ours soon.

I'm looking at the same thing and see that September has more cases that already are completed compared to August. So that means instead of working on August's back logged cases first, they already started working on September's cases and also has completed more cases in September while there are still 2,716 cases pending from Aug? That kind of piss me off .. to be honest.

I don't think the green September column represents cases submitted in September. It represents the amount of cases that were completed in September. If your case was submitted in September and gets approved in e.g. December then your case will be counted toward December. In other words your case is not among these cases and it doesn't say anything about the cases USCIS is currently working.

The only statistics that say anything about the cases USCIS is working on are the ones we have submitted on this forum. This data shows that USCIS is primarily working on August cases but also started working on some random September cases.

Thanks for your comment ManuFred. I know the green does not represent cases submitted in September, infact it's the blue column that does. I hope you're right on your theory. CSC used to be way faster than VSC, but now it's the other way round. I'm only a week away from my 4 months anniversay since my NOA1 date, very frustrating.

The data shown on the uscis site can't be interpreted very straightforwardly, which is probably why they say "trend". Data that are shown are simple math of this many approved, this many fresh this month. The approvals in september are very likely cases from June, July etc.

I don't believe anyone knows how or why or what the rationale is USCIS uses on approving cases. You would expect that after biometics, your case goes into the queue for approval, and they work on that queue. This would mean that cases should in theory be approved in the order received. Some cases require more review than others probably, but still it should be a fairly sequential process.

I think we can all agree from experience that there is nothing sequential or logical about the order in which cases are processed. If that were true, there would be no September approvals prior to 90%+ approvals from August cases. Instead, you have people from September being approved while there are still cases waiting from July... doesn't make sense, but as long as you get your answer in 6 months USCIS meets their processing goals.

As for CSC, they created a big gap for themselves in the past 6 months, but approvals were up in September compared to the previous months. Lets hope this means they are shifting resources to ROC cases and all get approved soon.

Is there a way that we could check out our application status after we passed our 4 months of processing?

Sooner on December 25th,2010 i am going to passed my 4 months and still my application status says Initial Review on USCIS File check status link.

I just wanted to know that where are they (or at what stage) with the Review process of my application. Is everything so far is OK or not. Because i haven't got any mail or EMAIL updates after i did my biometrics 3 months ago.

I do not understand about CSC or VSC's Processing methods.

This is really freaking to us.

We paid 585$ for just nothing. Just to wait for 6 months. Though i am on right time for everything my application, my biometric and everything on right time just for nothing.
