hi guys, I've searched the forum for the answer to my question but to no avail, so I call upon the good people here for advice on whether it would be ok to type some of the forms for AOS and write some, as my joint sponsor will want to write his and the I-693 will be written by the doctor too, I'm wondering if anyone has had any trouble submitting them completed differently or should I write them all out the same, many thanks for any answers on this

Hi,

I had the same question about a month ago when i was getting my AOS package ready. I posted the question here and got some replies from VJ family, here is the link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/262599-hand-written-or-typed-i-485i-130-and-supporting-forms/page__p__4031336__fromsearch__1#entry4031336

(copy the link and paste it in your web browser), sorry could not make it work on this page

As for the I-693, the first part was completed by me (handwritten), and the rest of the form was mostly "check the box" or "date" completed by the civil surgeon. I think it is fine if you hand write as long as the handwriting is readable. I used CAPS to make it look more professional.

I have just mailed my forms and only received first NOAs, so I can tell u for sure if my typing/handwriting did not cause any trouble  , but I am sure either way is fine as long as they can get the info that they need.

Good luck!

never mind, the link does work:)

It does not matter as long as forms are prepared LEGIBLY .... You can write them all in crayon as long as they are legible

YMMV

No problem writing and typing on the same form. I did our paperwork with most of it typed but there were a few lines where it would not fit typed so I just neatly wrote it in, like place names, etc.
