You lay out a challenge and I answer each one. Then you try and back-peddle. First you say "Why would someone list their wifes measurments?" My wife's measurements are a matter of public record and marketed to potential clients. I am not ashamed of them and I am not degrading her to state them. She WANTS it that way. She has them printed on comp cards she sends to agencies. It is her business! (at least part time when she is not in school or interpreting for immigrants at USCIS) I give you a legitimate answer why I would do so and now you try to make it look like I did something bad or unsophisticated. YOU bring it up and then wonder why I dropit into conversations? Are you daft? You ask the husband of a model why he would advertise his wife's measurements and shoe size and dress size, and when he answers YOU are surprised? Never ask a question if you do not already know the answer.

She is not a pedigree animal. She is a model. It is a legitmate, honorable job and really not nearly as easy as you may think, but it does pay well for short time worked and works quite well for a student. What other job will a college student get that pays $125 per hour? By the way, that is a published rate, so no secrets there either.

Really you guys can't handle the truth. Rob and Mel says Russian women will get ugly with age...VOILA! Alla is old and not ugly! His wife...we don't know. You say "Why do you market your wife like a piece of meat?" VOILA! Because it pays $125 per hour. To put her clothes ON.

Why should I or anyone here care if your wife is a model? I really, honestly, positively, definitely don't.

I just don't understand why you're presenting your wife here in such arbitrary terms. Surely there's more to your marriage than her physical attributes - why then do you take someone saying "I find my wife more attractive" as some sort of personal challenge to be refuted with references to modeling and what have you?

Why do it? Why should anyone care?

Is that what he said or did he say "a lot more so?" Because in the post I read he compared his wife to Gary's and then made a disrespectful statement about that comparison.

It shouldn't matter to him at all that someone should find another woman more attractive than his wife. The fact that he does suggests some insecurity on his part - as several others have already mentioned.

I haven't seen Gary concerned at all that someone finds their own wife "a lot more" attractive than his. What I've seen is him say "prove it" and that person say "there are privacy issues and I don't have to prove anything." Not quite the response he, nor I, was expecting from someone who's wife is "a lot more" attractive than his.

Huh. I always figured that Gary's gloating about his Hot Wife had more to do with his insecurity; obviously, someone like him wouldn't get someone like her if we were talking strictly Western relationships. But he /did/ happen to snatch a hottie. So he has quite a lot to gloat about.

edit - for what it's worth, I find slim's wife to be hotter than Gary's wife. But not as hot as...lviv's(?) wife, who doesn't really post on here anymore.

It's simply not necessary to prove that anyone's wife is more attractive. Doing so is crass and disrespectful to your spouse.

There are arbitrary elements that mean something. Physical attraction means quite a bit. Talking about your SO's sexual accompaniments doesn't mean that you don't appreciate them for what they are. Hell, I met my husband when I was 14 -- long before we slept together, and I knew that he was The One. Doesn't mean that I don't appreciate his nice weener.
