Email Notications?...

I tried searching for this question but was not able to get a clear answer. I just sent my I-129F today USPS Express requiring a signature and they should get it tomorrow morning.

I included my email address the application, so my question is, will I get a notification via email during the rest of the processing or do I have to sign up for "Case Updates" at USCIS or do I wait for the case number or what?

I have no idea if they ever use the email address you put on your petition. they didn't use it for my NOA1.
