I will comply with whatever regulations are put in place

Even if they're unconstitutional?

At what point do you defend your rights by force?

and consider migrating back to the land of the free.

Where is that?

I'm not planning a 'custer's last stand' type of suicide by cop even if you are.

I'm not planning that either. I don't see it ever getting to where cops violate peoples' individual liberties to the point of armed conflict. Most cops I know, even if they differ than me on firearms, are pretty in tune with the idea of protecting peoples' rights and the last thing they want to do is enforce a police state. The majority of cops I know want to deal harshly and severely with the bad guys and leave everyone else alone.

What did people do back in the day when there were not so many guns to choose from and they still needed to pot some wildlife for dinner? Not that I begrudge a hunter whatever guns he feels he needs, I don't have any problem with people hunting and seeing it as a sport if they also eat the animals they kill.

It's interesting you bring that up in your argument against owning multiple guns because the people you spoke of may've only had one gun, but it was a part of their everyday lives. They also met often to practice shooting together and even formed militia groups and training bans to protect their communities. For all intents and purposes, that one gun they had was their version of today's AR-15.

For the record, I have absolutely no problem with every family in America owning only one gun as long as it's an AR-15 and EVERY family is issued one by the government.

The deterinaition by some gun owners to define freedom by gun ownership just shows how out of kilter their outlook on reality has become. Freedom has never been, and never will be defined by guns.

Since you didn't answer my question, I'll ask it again. At what point do you defend your rights by force if necessary?

Freedom has never been, and never will be defined by guns.

That is hilarious! Is today sarcasm day or what?

Nope - at the final battle of the war of independance - there were more FRENCH troops than Americans present

We can discard that though because it doesn't fit the myth

Actually it was 4 years before the 2nd amendment was passed so it shows one can do ok without it..

The population of the US was what 3 million at that time ? What % of the present population had ancestors present ? The Germans were fighting for Britain - no Poles or Italians, Russians - and yet all these people strut around claiming it as their victory...

If they are so good with their rifle each, how come they can't find Bin Laden ? eh ? eh ?

Time to call the French again perhaps...

Nor did it matter since the battle wasn't decided by troop strength, but by artillery and lack of reinforcements for the redcoats.

One can definitely do OK without it... when everyone has a gun.

When it's really hard to do without one is when good people don't own guns anymore but criminals do. We're getting to that point now.

Well by that rationale then we're off the hook for slavery too. Call Jesse Jackson.

What's being good with a rifle have to do with finding bin Laden?

Time to call the French again perhaps...

I've served with some French military folks and like most other military members around the world, they're brave and honorable men. It's the spineless pricks back home that give them a bad name.

I have never had a problem with the French either.

I reckon we provoked them by keeping Calais and the cinque ports for hundreds of years.

Similarly the Italians got a bad rap as they were very brave in the 1st war (1914 to 1918) during the alps campaign

I don’t think the Luxemburg navy has much to brag about

Exactly - no good at all...
