#######, probably. I don't have a huge history with sexual violence but it's still hard shake off the intersections of yuck I have been party to. It's ugly out there, or can be. And knowing that, I don't know how I could be cool with my daughter taking part in that trade. But that's a mama perspective.

As a principle? I'm down for anything anyone wants to do that doesn't harm anybody but the parties involved. I don't think there should be any penalties for being a jackass, as long as you're the only casualty. So I don't believe in consensual crimes like prostitution, and I think you should be able to kill yourself by razor or heroin, as is your wont.

This thread may, in its secret dream part, be wanting to get at the attitudes of the rest of us, how we see sex workers. My own attitude is cut in half: I would work for sex workers' rights, and I would seriously question my own motivation if I ever thought it were a viable option for me. Like, I would think I was a bit broken if it seemed feasible. Discuss.

To the contrary, almost exactly opposite. Victimless crimes are those in which only the perpetrators are concerned. Two consenting drug users, two consenting sex participants. You may project a country-wide effect, but it would be a folly. These things will go on, and they don't hurt anybody, in verifiable terms, but the immediate players.

There is a weird google virus going around. My firewall caught it, but not before it let two other nasties in. The virus software quarantined one, and found the other during a sweep, so beware. I was getting some weird things happening on VJ before I figured it out.

ETA: I first noticed something weird after I used the new Google image search format. I don't like it!

I'm on a mac and have never had problems. But I don't hold my mac up as a lilywhite example of anything because it has been bashed on the concrete floor and abused otherthusly ad infinitum. But still. This, and it's still going on, is making me apoplectic.
