very normal. The online system is not a reliable source that reflects your case's status. It is manually updated as far as I know....

I have a case that was approved over two years ago and still shows initial review.

Which site do u use to check the status? uscis.gov does not show touches as far as i know..

Thanks

you need to create a profile on uscis.gov and add a case to your profile. Then, if you are lucky, you will get touches...

I-751 is conducted by service centers, and can see all kinds of weird dates, enough to drive you insane. But after you received your biometrics and NOA, your file is shifted to your assigned field office and they don't tell you anything.

Just camp out at your mailbox.

Thank you guys.

Ash83:

uscis.gov show the touches when you creates your portafolio. If you look at the list of cases in your portafolio there is a column (Last Updated) that show the last "touch". In my case my N-400 was last touched on 06/18/2010 (two days after they sent the biometrics letter).

again the touch was amazingly quick after my biometrics during my first green card and then when I was removing conditions. I think hours after I did the biometrics my case was touched in both cases.

In any case patience is the first thing I need to remember in every step of this journey.

I had my biometrics on May 24 and didn't get my interview letter until July 15. Actually I got the yellow letter the same day. My case status has never changed since biometrics. I wouldn't worry.
