Hi,

I have applied for EAD renewal 2nd time on 25 May 2010 and its still pending.

I did not recieve any RFE or anything yet from USCIS.

One company gave me offer with joining date 2nd August 2010. My EAD expires on 13th August.

My question is:

if i can work in that company as a volunteer without pay and without benefits, and when i receive my EAD i can work there with pay? Is it legal or not?

I have filed I-485, so i want to keep my status clean..So please advice. :((

Technically you're allowed to volunteer AS LONG AS you receive no benefits from volunteering. This includes a job at the end of the volunteer period. Which means... no. You cannot accept this offer.

Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong but I remember reading about it several months back when someone asked the same question.
