SAVE database

I have a question about SAVE database. I've posted about this before, but I'll just reiterate my situation. I've been trying to change my last name on SSN since April. They have sent out 2 verification requests by mail, the most recent one was one month ago when I got my EAD. I haven't received anything from SS office about that. I got my green card, I went there today and surprise, surprise, it wasn't verifying with SAVE database. So if USCIS hasn't updated my last name after EAD, a month since I got it, should I worry that they won't update now with the green card? Does USCIS update the SAVE database after both EAD and Green Card? Should I wait a few days and go back to SS office, or should I make an infopass appt with USCIS? I called USCIS today and the guy told me to make an infopass appt. The thing is, it's far and I don't have the driver's license to drive there. TIA

Sometimes things in SAVE don't show the EAD info when you have an I-485 pending, but should update once the application has been approved and you have your Green Card.

Do you know what the SSA office has done to try to verify your permanent resident status in the name on the card? Your name not matching on the initial verification request is the end of things, there are two more steps in the verification process. You need to find out what they have done to try to verify your status,

I have my green card, I got it yesterday. I took it to the office today and they tried to process the name change and when they tried to verify my status with SAVE database, they couldn't. I had 2 other G845s sent out and nothing came of them, so I asked them to delete those two and try again. They did and still it wasn't verifying. They wanted to send another G845 but I said no, I'll come back in a week or so, maybe by then I'll be in database. I can't wait another month or more to get the name changed. I sent that email you told me to send and I'll try to wait another week and see if that will help

Are they finding you with yer VISA NAME ? If so, suggest you run with that,

then get it changed later.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I already have SSn with my Visa name. I don't really care what my name on SSN is, but Secretary of State does, since they won't give me a driver's license unless my name on SSN matches my Immigration Documents. And I need a driver's license like now :D

When Joseph arrived we had issues with his name . Someone put it in the computer with 2 I's where a W goes. Anyways we were told that that database is in the hands of border patrol. Info pass doesn't help. To fix it you need to go to an inspection station ( like an airport) and show your papers.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I don't know if that will work for me, since I already have a card, and there was no problems with my unmarried name. When I crossed the border, it was in my maiden name. I'm trying to change the name to my married name.

I Quit, I sent that email last night and this morning I got a phone call from them, and they said that when my initial electronic application was sent on June 17th, the guy wrote my status as J1, instead of K1. Maybe that's why I still haven't received anything. He said he will call the office I went to and talk to them and then call me back. So hopefully something will happen soon.

J1 vs K1 ? Oh my - I'd be writing a letter to the Inspector General's Office, and the ombudsman as well, citing sheer incompetency. IRS does have those 'postings' - I'd do it, personally, just cause I'm evil, wicked, mean and nasty.

But that doesn't get anything done, quickly.. Might be the right fodder for that employee's performance review, though.

I know! I don't know why they can't do anything right! On a happier note, I just got a call from them and magically, my card is verifying now! It wasn't verifying this morning! So I'm off to the SS office to do this thing! Wish me luck :D

No luck again, the guy who called me today and said I am in the database was wrong. So they sent in the second electronic verification. More waiting for me

If the secondary verification verified once, no reason it won't verify again. Give it a few days for the response to come back.
