It is NOT racist because he didn't use the "n" word and as seen in our recent Mel Gibson's "racist" rant thread, a white guy has to drop at least one "n" bomb to be considered a racist. It's not based on content, it's based on "n" bombs.

It IS considered racist because he, admittedly criticized black people. If a white guy does that, he's racist. It doesn't matter if he's quoting facts or making things up, if they're negative in any way, it's racist.

So, it's racist but it's not racist. That means it's only racist if you're a person who sees it as racist. Or if you're in the newsmedia and need a good catchphrase.

I wouldn't call it "racist", but some of this guy's opinions are clearly biased and generalized. Yes, almost all blacks voted for Obama. I personally wouldn't accuse them all of not working and being on welfare. I do think most blacks vote along racial lines. They are really the only race to blatantly and obviously continue to do so, but it is not just for the sole reason cited by the author.

True, but it is not because they are all on welfare and get a government check. There are numerous reasons why the vote for Obama is along racial lines more so with blacks than any other group. They also universally vote Democrat too. The Big Government / Nanny Government mentality of many blacks is one reason, but it is not the only reason. It really is difficult to explain since the Democratic party is far from being a one size fits all party.

Democrats pander to minorities because it gets them votes, yet all they ever do is more to keep them down/keep them as voters...

Evil white Republicans are racists and hate them and want to take away their 'benefits.' Where the good loving kind-hearted Democrats want to give them more benefits... It's appealing to a lot of people at the end of the day.

Now anyone who tries to lump all black people into this catagory is full of ####### mind you, as the majority of black people are good, hard working people who live normal lives like everyone else... However it's the poor that get targetted because it's easier to send a strong message that way. A lot of those people who remain in that situation though feel that something is 'owed' to them for the past, or they're stuck in a culture war with themselves, or they are just flat out lazy.. There's a variety of reasons why things are the way they are for that small part of the black community.

It's the same way hispanics are pandered to on immigration. Evil Republicans want to keep them out and send them back if they are illegal. Good, loving, and understanding Democrats want to grant them amnesty as they are just seeking a better life and are all good people coming across the border.

It's really easy for a party to suck up a minority vote when they're willing to give, give, give, and pander all day long to them. It's a lot harder when you're not offering a benefit and encouraging just working hard or encouraging job training programs versus free benefits... People like Free, period. If white people were pandered to in the same way, they'd lap it all up as well.... but there's no reason to pander to white people in this way as the majority is always looked at in a different light.

Many blacks are successful and have never used any of these big government social benefits, but are afraid to dismantle them. I personally believe it is a mentality that has been culturally ingrained in many of them. Just like the fear of competing in a world in which they won't get preferential treatment along racial lines through affirmative action. Many blacks I personally know are conservative, but they continue to vote Democrat out of habit and tradition. I find it rather odd since Obama and a big chunk of the Democratic party are anything but conservative.

Whatever it is, it is racist in theme and tone. Anyone who says otherwise is deluded or blind. If it's an article, then yes, it does degrade the credibility of the publication. If it is a blog, then I think it still does, but to a lesser degree. I tend to hold bloggers in less regard.
