Happy 4th of July everyone .I bought so much fireworks and it even can blow up a big city lol .

We had a really great 4th of July.. We went to the Rabat American School, where the Embassy was throwing a party for American citizens.. Got to meet new friends ^_^ , drink some Mountain Dew, and have halal hot dogs with real mustard and relish.. and oh yeah, met the US Ambassador Samuel Kaplan, who was a really really nice dude!

Good times! Hope all of you enjoyed your day too!

That is really cool, Sarah! I bet that Mt. Dew tasted particularly delicious. :) Was it American Dew? I got so geeked when I saw Mt. Dew in Egypt but it tasted AWFUL! LOL. Of all the sodas they load with sugar they had to be stingy on the sugar with the Dew. <_< Anyways, I'm glad you had such a cool experience.

We just finished eating our bbq chicken/durrah meshwi(grilled corn)/potato salad dinner. Now waiting for the fireworks to start in about an hour or two. It has been a hot one today. I do not like the heat. I'm looking forward to Autumn. :blush:

Yes! It was real American Dew! Canned in New York! FABULOUS! On another note, the entire party was nothing but Embassy and Consulate workers and US military.. Talk about an intimidating atmosphere.. We were with another VJ couple and they saw the CO that denied them.. I'm amazed they held it together and didn't give the guy a huge chunk of their mind! We all figured that it's nothing but a good thing for those consulate people to see us in a relaxed atmosphere with our SO's (and us with our daughter). But it was weird weird weird being around that many government employees.. :lol:
