Cleaning wildlife of their oil is a futile venture. I'm sure 99% of the cleaned birds, fish, etc die immediately or shortly there-after. The stress and the shock of being oiled, then Dawn'd is just too much for these little critters to take. The focus and effort should go on stopping the gushing ####### and then immediately putting up a international cleanup effort that cleans up the ocean within a weak.

I know it's possible since we kind of went to the moon with computers as advanced as GameBoy Advanced. Surely we can plug a hole in ocean and clean up few million square kilometers within a week or two. What's needed is initiative and unbridled support of the public.

Food cooked with fossil fuel aren't edible. Moreover, dolphins have a thck layer of fat just underneath their skin. Dolphins also taste horrible; if you can get past the texture, that is.

Actually the Apollo computers were less powerful than a cheap plastic $1 calculator from Wal-Mart. Even the Flight/Avionics computers on the Space Shuttles are still the best technology of 1982 which is why they take laptops up for all of the real science. The process for design, testing & upgrading those systems is so long and drawn-out that they are obsolete before they're approved and it's simply more important that they can do the job time and again than it is to have the latest-greatest CPU...

The simplier the system is the less prone it is to failure. Why do you think highly critical systems use purpose built CPU? Because you don't need the MMC instruction set on a computer designed to drive a plane, car. But this is all complex engineering things which I will leave alone in favour of engulfing a spicy tuna sandwitch.
