Is Advance Parole required to file?

Good morning,

As we are preparing the AOS, I want to know if filing for advance parole is required. I know there is about 300+ bucks to pay for it.

If the fiancé get the 2 years green card will he still needs the advance parole or this is only before receiving green card??

AP is NOT a requirement.... however, if filed with or after the I-485 the fee is WAIVED.....

advanced parole is used between the application for the green card and receipt of the green card.

if one needs to travel outside the usa between filing for aos and before receiving the green card, it's best to file for it. once the green card is in hand, the advanced parole document is no longer necessary.
