Hello, any updates? Question for those who got approved without interview and RFE. How did you guys send the case, how many proofs, how long was your Affidavit? Did you have affidavit from spouse?

I filed joint i751 with my ex wife in Sep 2015, and i just filed summary dissolution this week, and got back the judgement of dissolution with the effective day of Sep 2016. I talked to my attorney and got advised that I should wait for the first application to be judged first, expectedly late March or early April. If i need to submit more evidence, i will need to inform them to amend my first application, and provide my judgement of dissolution. Base on the copy of jusdgement of dissolution that i got back from the clerk, from the date that we filed (summary dissolution), we are divroced, but the divorce is not finalized until September 2016.

I dont know if they will accept my copy of judgement of dissolution with the future effective date. In California, they call divorce decree judgement of dissolution.

Yeah..I filed in August 2014 and my case has been transferred to the local office but my lawyer is saying that they have suspended processing of I-751's until further notice. Not sure how true that is but it is frustrating having to wait like this. I however filed a N-400 and hopefully this will push them. I am not holding my breath though.

mananto are you sure you can file for citizenship? Was it 5 years since you received your first GC based on marriage?

After Divorce there is no more 3 years to file citizenship, it becomes 5 years as for regular GC holder.
