I run a lot content from internet sites like Hulu or Netflix on my PC and we've been looking for a way to hook the PC up to the TV & home theater system. We've found the cable connection online that can run from my laptop to the TV if we want to watch one of the 1500 movies hubby brought with him but I was wondering if that would also work just as well on the TV if I wanted to watch Hulu or Netflix movies.

Then I found this new thing called PlayOn. http://www.playon.tv/playon It's wireless and plays content on your TV from your PC like Netflix & Hulu & other internet media sites. I don't own any of those devices it says that you need to use playon but I like the option of wireless and using this device to watch my internet content on the TV.

Does anyone have experience with using PlayOn or does anyone have any technical advice on what else to use for PC to TV?

Direct TV has Media Share. I just found out about this today, so I haven't tried it yet. I see with that Playon it can be used with DirecTV DVRs.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

A Video Capture Card and TV Capture Card allow you to send a Video or TV signal to your Computer. The signal can then be recorded to the Computers Hard Drive with TV or Video Capture Software. There are several different kinds of Capture Cards on the market, with varying functions. I run a video capture card on my desk top only, for internet, CD's and Camcord content I wish to record, or play. You can watch cable TV programs thru your PC or TV. The card I have comes with a remote and can be programed for TV.

If your laptop has an HDMI thingy you can just use an HDMI cable and hook it to your TV (I think)

yup

our laptop has a HDMI but our TV doesn't...

awhile back we did buy a cable that did work with our TV and we could see the computer screen on the TV but it was all blurry and in black and white :P .. I think our TV is too old we will just have to wait until we get a better TV I guess..
