Going to Biometrics before appointment - Could cause any problem?

My wife received the Biometrics appointment notice and I remember I read on here before that some of you went to have the Biometrics taken way before the appointment and we want to do the same to speed things up. Could that cause any problems with USCIS given the fact that you don't go on the exact date they made your appointment?

Also, will I be allowed in? Thanks a bunch!

USCIS does not care but it all depends on the local ASC office... some accept walk-ins while others do not.... I was present at the St Paul ASC office where a walk-in was summarily denied...

Anyone other than the alien will not get past the waititng room. Some ASC's are so small they have no waiting room and you will not be allwoed in...

Try to go on a Wednesday afternoon. It seems like ASCs now are accepting walk-ins only during that time.

Thanks for your answers guys. To be more exact - maybe there is someone who had experiences with the office in Elizabeth, NJ. For example going on a Friday morning, they open at 8:00 AM and we could be at the door at 7:45. Any chances that might work? It's about one hour away and if I could, I would like to avoid taking a day off and driving all that way round trip just to get denied.

You could try calling as well. When I went for mine, I went to the office and they told me they couldn't fit me in that exact second, but could fit me in the next day. She told me I could have just called directly to the office and done it.

Good luck!

Thanks Starburst. That was my first thought, to call, but I can't find the number anywhere. If you have it I would greatly appreciate it if you could give it to me in a message.

Try around 10:00 or 11:00 when most walk-ins are already seen... This way u'll avoid the rush cuz most walk-ins occur in the early morning.
