Of course but this has nothing to do with family based immigration to the USA.

I'm not saying you posted your question in the wrong place. Visa Journey is a support site for people bringing family members to the USA. Getting married in Barbados doesn't get the foreign spouse permission to live in the USA. It just puts you on a spouse immigration path instead of a fiancee immigration path.

You're asking a lot of very basic questions, indicating you haven't read the guides. Unless you are intending to bring a loved one to the USA, it doesn't make much sense to hang out here and ask questions irrelevant to you personally. If you have a foreign fiancee, start by reading the K1 guide. If you prefer to marry before starting the immigration process, study the CR1 guide.

It might be helpful if you explained (as you did in a previous topic) that:

  1. US Citizen (you) attempted to obtain a marriage visa to the UK but was denied
  2. Foreign fiancé - denied visitor's visa to the US

Although I'm not sure what you're asking when you say "good alternative to marriage visas."

S&P,

You really need to define your goal here.

If you simply want to get married then yes meeting someplace you can both easily travel to is just fine.

If you are looking to live together as husband & wife then you need to decide what country you want to live in and figure out how to handle the immigration process.

You have not been very clear in any of your threads.

From what I can figure your fiancée is Bulgarian living in London England. You have not said if she is a Citizen or Resident of England or just on a Student Visa there. Was here status in England the basis for your "Marriage Visa" to England Denial?

Why haven't you just applied for a K-1 Visa to bring her to the US?

Why not just go to England on a visit, get married and file for a Spousal Visa to bring her to the US?

You do realize that is not as simple as marry her and she can enter the US & stay, right?

I really wasn't sure which guides to read, but now I am. Thank you. I just wish I knew about this site before we tried to do it on our own.

You really need to define your goal here.

My goal is to live with my fiancee in the United States.

This is because I have no idea what Im doing. This is why Im here. Thank you for your help.

From what I can figure your fiancée is Bulgarian living in London England. You have not said if she is a Citizen or Resident of England or just on a Student Visa there.

She is on a student visa there.

Was her status in England the basis for your "Marriage Visa" to England Denial?

The reasons for denial were very vague and anyone could interpret them differently than the next person.

Why haven't you just applied for a K-1 Visa to bring her to the US?

This seems like the best way. Ive been looking around about it and i came across this site.

Why not just go to England on a visit, get married and file for a Spousal Visa to bring her to the US?

I am under the impression that I need a visa to get married in the UK

You do realize that is not as simple as marry her and she can enter the US & stay, right?

I realize this now, and I thank everyone for their input.

It's been a long time ago that we went through this process but if they were to get married in one of the islands would they have to go back for their interview? I remember from long ago you had to interview in the country you married in. Is that true of the CR visa also? So this is another thing to look at if you want to go back there for the interview or not.

It is and was true for the K3 visa but not the CR1. K3 is obsolete anyway.
